Japanese Common Phrases 1

Here is for someone who have just started to learn Japanese, or someone who would like to pick up all common use phrases in one shot. But it only serves its purpose if someone has already known both hiragana and Katakana.

Good morning.
お早う。〔おはよう〕

Good afternoon. Hi.
今日は。〔こんにちは〕

Good evening.
今晩は。〔こんばんは〕

Good night.
お休みなさい。〔おやすみなさい〕

How are you?
元気ですか。〔げんきですか〕

Good bye.
さようなら。

Please take care.
未だ、会いましょう。〔まだ、あいましょう〕

See you tomorrow.
未だ、明日。〔まだ、あした〕

I am leaving and will be back shortly. (when leaving home)
行って来ます。〔いってきます〕

Have a nice day。See you. Take care. (when leaving behind)
行ってなさい。〔いってなさい〕

I am home. I am back.
ただいま。

Welcome home.
お帰りなさい。〔おかえりなさい〕

How are you? Nice to meet you.
はじめまして。

Nice to meet you.
よろしく。

Thanks in advance.
よろしくお願いします。〔よろしくお願いします〕

Please.
お願いします。〔おねがいします〕
どうぞ。(when offering something)

You must be tired now because of hard work. (after work)
お疲れ(様でした)。〔おつかれさきにでした〕

Thank you for let me leave earlier. (after work)
お先に失礼します。〔おさきにしつれいします〕

Before eat!
頂きます。〔いただきます〕

After eat!
ご馳走様でした。〔ごちそうさまでした〕

Let me see.
そうですね。

I see. Oh! Really.
そうですか。

That sounds nice.
それは、いいですね。

That sounds bad.
それは、いけませんね。

Do your best.
頑張って。〔がんばって〕

Are you okay?
大丈夫。〔だいじょうぶ〕

I am sorry.
ごめんなさい。
